Dear John,

My name is Mike Agathagelou , I am Andrea`s dad, he has been chosen to play for a South African invitational side against the visiting England side in East London. These matches will be used as warm up games to help your countrymen prepare for the 5 day tests. He will probably not be home for a while but I have contacted him to tell him about your e-mail.

He is over the moon at the prospects of playing in England and especially in the Lancashire League, everyone here assures us that it is the place to be. He has researched your club and I can assure you he feels it is a great honour to be associated with a club which has hosted probably some of the greatest names to grace the sport.

It will be Andrea`s first trip abroad to play cricket this year, he finished school in 2008 ( was Headboy at Fields College ), what I can assure you is that he is a person of exceptional integrity with a phenominal workrate, he was rated the hardeat worker and the fittest player at both the South African U-19s camp and SA National Academy by all his coaches, especially Ray Jennings and "Yogi" Anton Ferreiara who took the time to contact my wife and I and congratulate us on his unrivaled work ethic.

Andrea has scored 41 centuries as a teenager and his determination to make a success of his professional career which will really start at Rishton CC, where he is determined to make a difference.
